It took me a while to really get into this book even though the action started right away. The murder mystery was good and well set up and was only part of the story.  We actually have a nemesis for Thomas Pitt, Charles Voisey and this is round 2.  I really loved their interactions and hope to see more of them battling it out. And I was glad that she brought the character of Samuel Tellman back! This story was very good and Ms. Perry as always does an awesome job with her writing and drawing you into the story.  Even though it took me time to get into this book, once I did I could not put it down.  It was interesting that this time it seemed the murder of Maude Lamont appeared to take a back seat to the story going on between Charles Voisey and Thomas Pitt. If you love the Thomas and Charlotte Pitt series and have not read this book or love Victorian mysteries, I highly recommend it

I am new to this whole blogging thing and love to talk about books so you would think I would be blogging every day and carrying on about the books I have read and all the memes I have participated in.  Truthfully, I have been stuck in a reading rut-not really in the mood to read. Really I been too busy just to even sit down and just read.  But that is life.  Hopefully with vacation coming up, I will be able to get sometime to just relax and enjoy and blog about all the books I read while on vacation!!

Cheers!!
